Just wanted you to
know how immensely helpful that coaching was, and
I've included the 3 more or less completed poems
that grew out of that. "In the Bones", I actually
began in Corte Madera while the course was still
going on - the other two I wrote in Big Sur.
"Fall On" is a love note to my oldest daughter who
is about to leave her home, job, and partner in
Australia to come back to the US for graduate
school in the fall and who is terrified, because
she doesn't know what will happen from there.
"Velvet" came from an experience I had eating
lunch on the terrace of the Kivah Cafe in Big Sur
one day. So thanks for the great coaching - it
was a pleasure knowing you. -- R. Colver, Poet-Author "You must do the thing you think you cannot do." Eleanor Roosevelt, American First Lady |
